RIDE INFO
Start time is 8 AM. Please bring at least one water bottle & flat repair gear. There will be marked “Bail out” options that will knock off miles at the end of the century if you need to cut it short. Full service rest stops are located every 10-15 miles.. Ride distance options are 100, 60 or 32 miles.
HELMET USE IS MANDATORY!
Post-ride showers available 11AM – 6PM.
REGISTRATION
Register online at sportsbaseonline.com. Snail mail fans can mail a flyer before August 25th to get a free T-Shirt. Late entrants DO NOT get a t-shirt!
All riders will have to fill out & sign a ride waiver at registration/packet pick-up. Pre-registering will save significant time and minimize waiting in line.

Register or pick up your packet Saturday September 3rd 6 AM – 7:30 AM at Pittsburg High School.
T-shirt is included with entry if received before August 25th . Entry fee is $35 for 100 or 60 milers and $25 for the 32 miler.
LODGING & DINING
Special room rates have been negotiated for Gorilla Century riders. We also have compiled a list of area restaurants that serve an early breakfast before the ride.
COMFORT
Post ride showers, real toilets and plenty of parking will make your pre- and après-ride enjoyable & stress free. Well stocked fun-themed SAG stops every 15 miles or so ensure a well hydrated and bonk free ride.
FESTIVAL
The whole family can enjoy Little Balkans Day's celebration Saturday while you are riding with lots of post ride entertainment to finish off a fun filled day. Live music, Train rides, Street dances, Carnival rides, Arts & Crafts vendors & Car shows are just a few of the activities planned for Saturday with more on Sunday. A list of Little Balkans Days activities will be posted once available.
RIDE DESCRIPTION
We’ve tweaked the course for 2011! More SAG’s and smoother roads
will keep the fun factor high. Mostly flat with a few hills meandering through numerous
small towns in Crawford & Cherokee counties, past historic landmarks like the Big Brutus coal shovel.
DIRECTIONS
Ride starts at Pittsburg High School (NOT PSU) because of the football game. PHS is located at the east end of Pittsburg on Hwy 126 (4th ST). Registration, showers and bathrooms are all in the main building. Pittsburg High School is at 1978 E. 4th ST Pittsburg, KS 66762.
